CFI offers uncommon opportunities to serve the Lord in Israel for periods both short and long. Come and be a part of our proactive community of faith in the City of the Great King! From our headquarters in central Jerusalem, CFI operates twelve outreach projects to the people of Israel, many of which are nationwide in coverage. CFI’s focus is always on friendship-building, visiting people in their homes and communities to strengthen rapport between Jews and Christians and express the mercy and kindness of God. Young, senior, and everything in between, ladies, gentlemen, all work side-by-side to achieve the Kingdom work that God has entrusted to us to do. There are many different types of positions and usually there is something for everybody.
Although all volunteers are encouraged to raise support amongst their home faith communities, families and friends, it’s also true that limited finances need not necessarily be a barrier to volunteer service. For those who are called to a long-term service commitment of at least two years, CFI is able to provide a range of support such as:
- housing (usually in the form of a private bedroom in a shared apartment with other volunteers of the same sex).
- transportation (monthly bus/tram passes)
- basic health insurance and hot lunches on work days.
