Encouraging soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces

Project David’s Shield is our way of saying “thank you” to Israel’s brave soldiers for being committed to stand, once again after 3000 years, in David’s Army! CFI gifts a wide variety of much-needed supplies and defensive equipment to the Israeli Soldiers. During the winter we give fleece jackets, gloves, hats, scarves and thermal clothing to the combat units in the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). Throughout the year we also provide useful gifts such as:

- hiking boots
- shower bags
- high nutrition quality food supplies
We also supply defensive equipment such as:
- anti-ballistic helmets
- bullet-proof vests
- tourniquets
- first aid kits and bandages
- fire uniforms & Personal Protective Equipment
These items help to save the lives of these precious and predominantly young (18 – 21-year-old) soldiers.
These gifts to the soldiers are our expression of His love, letting them know that Christians from the nations send their support and are committed to praying for them. Oftentimes, the soldiers never hear from outside of the Jewish community, so the Christian witness is vital during these challenging days. Our teams almost always purchase the gifts directly from the approved suppliers and deliver them personally to the soldiers at their army bases, sometimes on the borderlines.
This face-to-face encouragement from Christian friends from many nations has been a tremendous source of hope for these soldiers, who are sadly faced with so much hatred in their line of duty. CFI also gives financial assistance to lone Soldiers in the Israeli army. These are young Jewish men and women who come from all over the world with an inner conviction to serve their country and to protect the Jewish State. Since their families are not with them, they often have financial struggles and that is when we step in, meeting them in person; helping them in their time of need.
