Disaster Fund for Israel

"If disaster comes upon us—sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine—we will stand before this temple and in Your presence (for Your name is in this temple), and cry out to You in our affliction, and You will hear and save." 2nd Chronicles 20:9

DONATE  PROJECTS REPORTS

This project is used in times of crisis to raise funds for specific causes and these causes change over time. For example, in 2010 it was used to raise funds to help the restoration and salvage operation in the aftermath of the deadly Mount Carmel forest fires.

Since October 7th, 2023, it has been used to raise funds to meet a variety of emergency needs arising from the outbreak of war on Israel’s southern and northern borders, and escalating to devastation in locations across most of the country. Money raised has been funnelled to help the displaced families across Israel, which at its peak rose to approximately 300,000 people – an unprecedented number in modern Israel’s history.  This support includes the following acts of love in action:

  • Providing emergency supplies in person to displaced families in their temporary shelters and hotels, including food, clothing, toiletries, bedding and baby care items.
  • Sending small teams to assist with community “meals-on-wheels” initiatives, both to civilians and to soldiers.
  • Providing funds for recreational activities to encourage traumatised communities, such as sending an ice cream van to provide free ice creams to children, paying for young people’s outings to theme parks and sending in small teams of musicians to put on concerts.
