Spring is the best time in Israel. In the south the hills are blooming with flowers and crops of wheat are soon to be ready to be harvested, which normally takes place during the special holiday of Shavuot.

In March Under His Wings was able to help several people. We are receiving request for support and assistance and we are endeavouring to help as many people as possible, to meet their needs and be a source of comfort and support to those who are traumatised and suffering here in the Land of Israel.

Our CFI Team headed down to Nahal Oz, close to the Gaza border to meet with a precious family who we have grown close to. Katya and her family survived the horrific Hamas attacks on October 7th and have been evacuees ever since. Our Team went down to offer some practical support and help and to try to make a real difference in their lives.

We spent the day cleaning and scrubbing their home, doing our best to erase the memory of what happened on that dreadful day when Hamas terrorists were actually inside their house. Zaka did clean the remains of what Hamas terrorists left inside their home because wounded terrorists were actually sitting on their sofa right outside the safe room. Zaka has taken body fluids from their home and had to destroy their sofa. Windows were broken in their home and further damages left terrible reminders for the family. We were privileged to provide practical help and to pray for them and inside their home. We thank God for the miracle that this precious family survived.

Since Oct 7th the beautiful kibbutz has been empty, apart from being used by the Israeli Army as a base but now the time is beginning for life to return to Nahal Oz and we were blessed to be a part of this process.

The Kibbutz chicken house was badly damaged by rockets and also due to the fighting between IDF solders and Hamas terrorists. Katya’s husband is starting to lead repair work and the rebuilding of the chicken house. They would like to move back and rebuild their lives and their kibbutz at the right time. Please pray for them and all the evacuees who are in this state of limbo and difficult situation.

Recovery will take time, both pysically and emotionally. Please pray for all the residents of Nahal Oz, as well as the other communities in the south and the north of the country - that the God of Israel will guide them step by step and bring them to a place of wholeness and healing.

The current situation in Israel is also challenging for victims of previous terror attacks. The current war and events of the 7th October has been a massive trigger for many survivors of terror and has created many problems for them.

Traumas and scars of attacks they endured and survived are coming to the surface and are making the daily life of many people more challenging. Under His Wings has been able meet with several of these people and support them in a variety of ways. Some of them are disabled because of the terror attack they survived whilst others have long-term PTSD and very poor health conditions. Terror leaves many wounds and victims are often plagued with severe vulnerabilities. Please join with us as we pray about the best way for us at CFI to help and bless these terror survivors.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support, we could not do it without you.

Shalom from Jerusalem,

Tanja Shoshanni, Project Supervisor
