“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?” (Matthew 24:45) “Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when He cometh shall find so doing” (Matthew 25:46).

At the time when Matthew’s verses were recorded, I can imagine they were trying to tell us that we, who would come in the future, should be watching for the return of the Lord, and to do that, we needed to look into the Scriptures and discern the times in which we are living, in order to be ready. It is amazing that we first are presented with a question. Who is faithful and wise whom the Lord has appointed to lead other people spiritually, i.e. pastors, leaders and teachers in the Bodyof Messiah?

The inference is that the Master made them leaders in order that they would serve spiritual food to His Body in a fitting season and occasion. Especially, when we see things coming to a head and God’s Word being fulfilled and His Promises coming to pass so rapidly, in these end times. If now is not a suitable time, or the right moment to feed the flock with the full menu of Biblical prophecy from God’s Word, then when will be the right time? The season and hour is now.

No one knows how long we have. No one knows when judgment will fall but we can discern the times in which we live by studying the prophetic word. It seems that few preachers, teachers and leaders are standing before their congregations today and alerting everyone to “Watch and Pray” for the Coming of the Lord, ordering one’s life aright, and repenting of sins that are not befitting followers of the Lord Jesus.

As there have been periods of glory for the nations, there has been seasons of dispensations for the Church, we are now clearly in the season where Israel is on the rise. She has arisen from the ashes of destruction in Europe, she has rebuilt and reclaimed her ancient homeland, she is no long the bent over and despised old Jewish body drawn in cartoons with long noses and funny faces, she is a proud and honorable nation of Jewish people who have been regathered as a people and are now living in a restored Jewish nation, soon to become a Jewish state.

The promises of Almighty God are so rapidly coming to pass in Israel, one can hardly keep up with them all. It is the season of Bible Prophecy. The Church must hear the truth of what is happening here and how the signs of His Coming are so very clear to those of us who live in the Land. The problem lies with anti-Semitic attitudes still prevalent in Replacement theologians scattered around the world. To preach Bible prophecy, one has to acknowledge Israel is a restored nation, and many just do not wish to do that. Raised and taught on the poison of Jewish hatred, and that God has finished with Israel, our churches need to awaken before it is too late and the season for “due meat” is over. Our churches should have people standing in line, waiting to get into our services, to be served the meat of the Word.

The season of “due meat” is a limited and seasonable time period. It is the time now to favor Zion, in her season of rising, and fulfilling of God’s Holy Promises. The periods prescribed to the nations by God for their rising and falling is coming to a head. Seasons indicate a time in which the fruits grow and ripen on the trees. The fig tree has blossomed, budded and is yielding much fruit not only for the Land of Israel, but for the world. There is a Divine arrangement of time, pre-appointed times for certain things to happen (and are) before God’s King- dom is established on the earth for one thousand years. Jerusalem is destined to become “the throne of the Lord,”(Jeremiah 3:17). There is no stopping this event from taking place. In the unseen spiritual world and realms of both good and evil spirits, there is already a war taking place, attempting to prevent the throne from being established. The events of today’s headlines need to be explained to our people sitting in the Sunday morning pews in order for them to be prepared for what lay ahead.

If Christian leaders are to be serving and giving out spiritual food, then now is the time. Multitudes are starving for solid food, something with substance to digest and to take home with them from each service. The days for milk toast ser mons should be over for good. It is time for the full menu of God’s Word, the whole counsel of God, to be preached. To do that, you cannot leave out the nation of Israel.

When a leader gives something to his people, he or she is giving something for the advantage of the listener and disciple of the Lord Jesus. Supplying Biblical knowledge, delivering truth for today, furnishing hungry disciples with spiritual insight and food for this hour is a duty of every leader who stands behind a pulpit. It is meal time and every believer is desiring solid food. I cannot imagine a meeting without talking about Israel and the Jewish people. Christianity is a branch of Judaism – the Judaism of Jesus. Why are our leaders not teaching about the Jewishness of Jesus, the Jewishness of Christianity and the Jewishness of the gospel? Why are we not preaching the word of God in context, explaining the time period of the story being taught, the people who were involved, and the ancient customs of Israel, expounding and enlightening the Scriptures, during the sermons?

If you belong to a church or fellowship that teaches nothing about Bible Prophecy and what God is doing in today’s world, fulfilling His Promises to Israel, and preparing for the Coming of the Lord, then either you need to pray harder for the leader, or in love and kindness, speak to the Pastor about serving “meat in due season,” before it is too late and the banquet is over. So many will be lost because they were not searching the Scriptures daily and examining the word from the original languages, allowed to speak about the love of God’s Life, Israel, the apple of His Eye, and His Beloved Chosen People. They are going to be a “light to the nations” (Isaiah 49:6) and are well on their way to fulfilling their calling…do the dry and stale messages of so many in churches in the west meet the standards of the Wedding Banquet? Not if “meat in due season” is not served.

Many are waiting for their leaders to issue the rations of true spiritual food. I wonder who will be found leading our churches when He comes? Who will be fulfilling his task of serving real spiritual meat? Who will be doing his work if His Master drops in on him on a Sunday morning? Everything else can wait, but when the time is ripe, and the fruit is on the vine, is the time to pick the fruit. Don’t miss the greatest miracle of all time, except for the Coming of Jesus, and that is the miracle of the rebirth of Israel after 2000 years of exile. A nation born of God. Don’t you want to hear more so you will be ready??

“These all wait for You, That you may give them their food in due season” (Psalm 104:27).
