My colleague Pastor Robbie, in an unmistakably concerned way, approached me recently and said, “Do you know what a widely known Bible teacher is saying about Israel on YouTube? I said, “No.” He responded with unease. He is now teaching “When Israel will Be No More” andsub-sequent teachings on the same subject. I was in utter unbelief and sat shocked to the core!” Why would anyone want to broadcast to all the nations that Israel will be no more needed in the future heavenly New Jerusalem?
When as believers in Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah, we are waiting for His Return, a thousand-year reign in Jerusalem, Israel, I would think we would be concentrating and also preparing for the Lord’s return rather than telling the world, “Israel will be no more!” in the New Jerusalem. I believe the man has changed directions and is headed the wrong way. “I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him. That which has already been, and what is to be has already been; and God requires an account of what is past” (Ecclesiastes 3:14-15; Jeremiah 33:23-26).
In 1983, Ramon Bennet wrote a book entitled “When Day and Night Cease ”(1992-1993 Shekinah Books, Arm of Salvation). I will reference him in this study of God’s Word. In some places, there is a famine of the Word. Hunger abounds in the hearts of many believers who are hungry to receive “meat in due season” (Matthew 24:45) to satisfy their inner needs for growth in the Lord Jesus (Psalm 145:15). The New Testament confirms everything the Old Testament speaks about as we listen to the voices of Jeremiah, Haggai, Joel, and Isaiah. This article is a scriptural rebuttal to the latest statements being propagated by a traveling false teacher. An untruth must be exposed and, like a fire, must be quenched.
Supporting Israel is Vital
The teacher in question can be found on all social media speaking in many Christian church sanctuaries teaching this error. “The Christian doctrine concerning Israel and the Jewish people is vast” (Ramon Bennett). I totally agree that when it comes to the Chosen People, most people in the choir have no clue what the church’s responsibility is to Israel. In many of our churches, the spiritual leaders have on “blinders” regarding the Jewish people. While it owes a great debt to Israel, it continues as if Israel does not matter and their role in the future coming of the King of Israel to this chosen city of Jerusalem is no longer valid. This is an end-time deception poisoning the hearts and minds of many who just do not study the scriptures (2 Timothy 2:15). Many will be lost at sea if they do not awaken and allow God to unlock their misunderstanding of Israel.
Will Israel one day be no more? Is Israel a part of the eternality of God’s Universe? “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love ” (Jeremiah 31:3; Revelation 3:9). What is the meaning of Everlasting? It is eternal, immortal, perpetual, timeless, and unending love.
God governs every detail of the moon and the stars, even tsunamis that disturb the sea and the waves which roar in high sea storms. If these astronomical bodies were destroyed, what would be the result? “Without the moon, a day on earth would last only 6 to 12 hours. If the sun disappeared for 5 seconds, 8 minutes later it would take 5 second nights…complete and total darkness…” (www.insidescience.org). The repercussions on earth would be devastating. If these ordinances (Jeremiah 31:36) depart from the Lord, then (and only then) Israel will end. Only “then”! In God’s plan for mankind and the world, there is no casting off or ending the nation.
Even in the Book of Joshua, we hear his voice proclaiming that the sun and the moon stood still for one whole day to preserve Israel (Joshua 10:12-14). God has established Israel “…forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away” (Psalm 148:6).
An Everlasting Promise
God never made a covenant for a generation or two but made an everlasting promise to Israel (2 Samuel 23:5). The erroneous teacher teaches that when the moon turns to blood (Joel 2:31, 3:15; Matthew 24:29, Revelation 6:12), there will be a new Heavens, a New Earth, and no need for an Israel anymore! Wrong! “For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before Me, says the Lord, so shall your descendants and your name remain” (Isaiah 6:22). Revelation 21 reveals that the names of Israel will be engraved for eternity in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:12-16). The names of the twelve tribes will be written on the gates of Heaven. The foundational walls will have the twelve Jewish apostles. The city foursquare is 144,000 furlongs, the exact number of the sealed tribes of Israel who will take the everlasting gospel to the world (Revelation 14:6). Even the colors in Heaven also match the very colors of the ephod of the High Priest of Israel (Revelation 21:17-20).
Scripture stands on its own, and God repeats in Psalm 89:20, 28, 29, “…my covenant shall stand firm with him, His seed I will make to endure forever….” What happens when people teach these errors? They end up despising God’s People (vs. 24)? It is a lie that God will finish with Israel. In the book of Romans, Shaul (Paul) deals with this question being raised to all humanity. God has not, will not, and cannot cast away His People, not in the past rebellions, nor current rabble nor in the future (Romans 11:1-4; 1 Kings 11:39; Psalm 102:28). Eternity is God’s years which have no end (Psalm 102:27). Even if Israel rebels God tells the Sons of Jacob, “For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore, you are not consumed…and all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful Land, “says the Lord of Hosts ” (Malachi 3:12).
May any Christian leader standing before congregations never belittle nor spit on the leaders of Israel as this man did. This, too, ends up cursing Israel, and this is forbidden. We may often not agree with Israeli politics, but this is not for us to judge but to pray for leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-7). God will do the disciplining and judging. If we do not love the Jewish people mercifully, then we will take a chance of being “cut off” from the Kingdom (Romans 11:22). There also will be no one who practices or “believes a lie” (Revelation 22:15) in God’s Coming Kingdom. Please lovingly warn those who are following Replacement Theology.
Lastly, we learn the short-sidedness and immaturity of people who teach Israel will disappear as they have no regard for the chosen people. We have entered a stage of history with Israel on the map, and we will exit the last stage of history with Israel still on the map. The Jewish people taught the world to believe in One God. They comprise about 0.2 percent of the world’s population, yet nearly four billion people practice a faith that derives directly from the faith of Abraham. There is an attempt by Lucifer today to set up a kingdom of his own; we see it everywhere we turn. Jerusalem is the choice of God for His Kingdom on this planet. The battle is raging even now to destroy Israel. The throne of God will be established during the 1000-year reign from Jerusalem. Beware and watch for error and the twisting of scripture. A counterfeit kingdom is being formed. Be diligent in the study of God’s Word. Let His Words be engraved on our hearts. May the Spirit of the Living God keep us from falling for personalities, celebrities, and famous people who will catch our ear if we are not faithful to KNOW and LIVE God’s Word and be informed about Israel and the nations.
When man interferes with God’s divine plans, he will always fail in the end. The Jewish prophet Haggai records God’s Everlasting promises to the People of Israel. “According to the Word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so MY SPIRIT remains among you; do not fear” (Haggai 2:5). The “shaking of all nations” has begun. Haggai 2:7: “…for thus says the Lord of Hosts…I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the desire of all the nations, and I will fill this Temple with Glory, says the Lord of Hosts.”
The bottom line is only “if” day and night cease will also the sons of Jacob (Israel) be consumed and cease from being a nation. The church desperately needs to learn more truth about its spiritual heritage. Following Bible prophecy is one of the most intelligent things a believer can do. Praying fervently for Israel and supporting the work of the Lord among the Jewish people will assure that we have done all we could to bring a blessing to the LORD for His Choice of Israel—for His Great Name’s Sake.
